Rich was injured in an automobile accident at age 18. Throughout his journey of living with a spinal cord injury (SCI), Rich has been steadfast in his belief that a positive attitude and healthy body are of utmost importance for people with SCIs. He founded Will2Walk in 2008 in order to make his dream of inspiring others with spinal cord injuries a reality. Today, Rich is a Senior Claim Adjuster for Nationwide Insurance Company. He and his wife, Alesha, have twin girls, Kennedy and Sydney.

Jennifer Chaillie sustained a spinal cord injury in a diving accident in 2011. As a former marathon runner, she is dedicated to staying physically active and now enjoys hand-cycling, swimming, weight lifting, and kayaking. She thrives on trying new things such as repelling, hang gliding, race car driving, skydiving and other fun adventures. Jennifer's motto is “Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain.

Jennifer has a Masters Degree in Social Work from Arizona State University, and has a passion for helping others and making sure no one gets left behind. She has worked in the behavioral health field for ten years, and is currently a therapist specializing in treating children who had been victims of abuse. A native of Arizona, Jennifer resides in Tempe.

Brent joins the Will2Walk Board of Directors in 2016 as Treasurer.  He is currently a Wealth Advisor with Raymond James in Scottsdale, Arizona.  Prior to joining Raymond James as a Wealth Advisor, Brent worked for Wells Fargo's Wealth Management Group as well as JP Morgan Chase's Investment Services as a financial consultant/advisor for a total of 7 years. Brent started his career in the securities industry with Morgan Stanley'€™s Private Client Group, offering portfolio management to high-net worth individuals and business owners in Scottsdale Arizona.  Prior to his financial services career Brent served Honorably in the United States Air Force for 4 years as an Aerospace Equipment Engineer and graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in Global Business Management.

Brent enjoys spending his free time with his family, playing golf, basketball and cheering for his hometown Nebraska Huskers.

Chris Schubel is a real estate specialist working for the National Park Service in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. He primarily focuses on market analysis and historic building preservation. Chris formerly worked as a business development specialist, real estate analyst and database manager for a corporate real estate brokerage firm in Chicago. He got his start in nonprofit work as a Peace Corps Volunteer living and working in Ethiopia. There he worked with at-risk populations in developing skills in sustainable food production, program design & management and business development.

Chris manages Will2Walk's donor and volunteer database and assists the organization any other way he can.

Mary Vandenberg has worked in the nonprofit sector for the past 10 years.  Prior to joining the Will2Walk team, Mary worked with and advised the Arizona Technology Council Foundation, the Never Again Foundation, the Immersive Teaching STEAM Academy, and the Department of Defense Office of Military and Family Programs in Washington D.C.

Mary earned her Master of Public Administration degree from Golden Gate University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the University of Maryland.Most recently she graduated from the prestigious American Express Nonprofit Leadership Academy at the ASU Lodestar Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Innovation. Mary is a member of the Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits and sits on this year’s Nonprofit Policy Council.  She lives in Mesa, Arizona with her husband and two teenage daughters.

Dawn MacLean is a corporate communications consultant for Nationwide Insurance, working on internal and external communications for technology projects.

Dawn has a B.A. degree in Marketing from Lewis University. She lives in Peoria, Arizona with her husband, Brad, and children Kayla & Jake. Dawn enjoys exploring Arizona via RV, spending time with family across the country and playing sand volleyball.

“I am excited to join the Will2Walk team. As a passionate disability advocate, I am dedicated to empowering those living with a spinal cord injury to pursue their happiest, healthiest and most fulfilling life! - Tina

Tina Fisk has spent her career specializing in the areas of spinal cord injuries and brain injury survivors, with work experience in multiple settings including acute care, clinic and hospital-based rehab, outpatient and home and community environments with facilities throughout the United States. She has been providing therapy in the home and community for Rehab Without Walls, Vocational Rehab, and Independent Living Rehab Services since 2003.

A graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Occupational Therapy, Tina is also an adjunct professor at a local college. She has served on the Board of Directors for the Arizona Spinal Cord Injury Association, assisted with the development of the first Spinal Cord Injury Wellness Clinic in Arizona, and is chairperson and co-founder of Camp With a Ramp. In addition to educating others on SCI at conferences and local rehab facilities, Tina volunteers with adaptive sports programs such as snow skiing, water skiing, quad rugby, over the line softball, fishing, golf, scuba diving and basketball. She is a prior team player on the Phoenix Mercury wheelchair basketball team.

MISSION

We aim to inspire people with SCI to achieve the highest quality of life possible, keeping a “will to walk” through life with the challenges SCI presents to individuals, families and communities.

Founded in 2008, the Will2Walk Foundation was the vision of President Rich Hamill, who sustained a spinal cord injury in an auto accident in 1992. Will2Walk is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is led by a volunteer Board of Directors and funded 100% from personal donations and event proceeds.
