Will2Walk awards $28K in scholarships

The Will2Walk Board of Directors is proud to announce the scholarship recipients for the second half of 2019! Representing eight states, these thirteen deserving applicants were awarded a total of $28,500 in scholarships toward the following items:

  • Tolu Adedoja, Nebraska, School Tuition
  • Jordan Belote, Arizona, Rugby Chair
  • Phil Evans, Arizona, Basketball Chair
  • Karsten Fields, Louisiana, Standing Wheelchair
  • Alex Goldmeier, New York, School Tuition
  • Joseph Jackson, Arizona, Rugby Chair
  • Kevin Lange, New York, Trail Chair
  • Matthew Machuca, California, Service Dog Training
  • Sergey Skumatov, California, Toy Hauler for Equipment
  • Joshua Smith, Washington, Martial Arts Training
  • Kolton Smith, Florida, Standing Frame
  • Brian Sperle, Arizona, Personal Training
  • Philip Stafford, North Carolina, Transportation

Scholarship decisions were made after careful review and recommendation from the Will2Walk Scholarship Committee.

“For this cycle, we received 29 applications totaling almost $120,000 in requests,” noted Jen Chaillie, Will2Walk Vice President and Committee Chair. “We were ecstatic to be able to award almost $29K this cycle, a 15% increase over this spring, and hope that we can continue this trend!”
