Only 19 years old when he suffered a c4 incomplete spinal cord injury in a motocross accident, Shaun walks with a cane.  Prior to his injury, Shaun was a dedicated motocross racer, BMX biker and snowboarder.  Though he is not yet able to compete in any of those sports, he works hard at regaining function and spends at least two hours per day on therapy.  Meanwhile, he is pursuing a degree in Management Information Systems.  Will2Walk granted Shaun a $1300 scholarship to help him complete his Associates Degree.

I used it all for tuition to Waubonsee Community College, which is the community college I attend near my home.  Personally, this scholarship effects me by letting me attend college with more financial freedom.  I have enough bills to pay with therapy and other expenses; this allows me to go to school with confidence that I have less bills. I am sincerely grateful for this award and have put it to great use. I believe the grants Will2Walk gives are of much greater worth to the person than the dollar amount on the check.  Thank you again and again!”
