A perfect Michigan day set the stage for the Third Annual Will2Walk Golf Scramble on July 28. Eighty-degree weather and a light breeze greeted more than 150 golfers as they competed over fun hole challenges, enjoyed a light lunch, and came together to support a great cause. The tournament far exceeded previous year participants, sponsors, and total money raised, bringing in over $18,000 for the Foundation.

“It is so rewarding to come home every year and be able to share this event with all my close friends and supporters,”Will2Walk Third Annual Michigan Golf Tournament shared President Rich Hamill. “To catch up with football players I used to coach, and even a few of my elementary and high school teachers, was just awesome. I am so grateful for the community support.”

Will2Walk plans to continue with the annual Golf Scramble in Michigan, and is researching other possible events in the Great Lakes State. If you have any suggestions for fundraising events or want to get involved, please contact Aysha Austin, Director of Development and Events, aysha.austin@will2walk.org.

Special thanks to the Title Sponsor of the event, Northwestern Mutual, who has served the insurance needs of Michigan for over 40 years; and to the SE Michigan Chapter of The Buoniconti Fund, who helped promote the tournament and received 10% of the profits from the event.
