I would like to note with sadness the passing of Sen. Edward Kennedy.
Whether you liked him personally or agreed with his politics on every issue, we must give credit to one of the most influential advocates for the disabled. Of particular note, the Americans with Disabilities Act, which addressed both physical access to public buildings and also discrimination in the work place would simply not have been possible without Sen. Kennedy.
My favorite quote of Sen. Kennedy is, “We know the future will outlive all of us, but I believe that all of us will live on in the future we make.” Truly a personal challenge for each of us.
